This website is a statically generated personal website. It does not require an account and does not provide a contact form.

I do not intentionally collect personal data through the website itself. No client-side analytics software is installed, and no advertising or tracking services are used.

Hosting and connection data

This website is hosted by Cloudflare. When you request a page, Cloudflare may process the technical information normally required to establish and deliver an internet connection. This can include your IP address, the time of the request, the requested URL, HTTP headers, browser or device information, referrer information, and the response status.

Cloudflare also provides me with connection-based, aggregated analytics about the website, such as request counts, the countries requests originate from, bandwidth, and response status codes. These analytics are based on connections to the website; they are not produced by a tracking script running in your browser.

Cookies

Each recipe page can save its own ingredient scale in a first-party cookie named recipe_scale_<recipe slug>. The cookie contains only the selected multiplier (½×, 1×, or 2×), applies only to that recipe’s URL, and expires after one year. After you use a scale button for the first time, you are asked once whether scales may be saved for all recipes. If you allow it, each recipe saves its own scale without asking again. If you decline, scaling still works on the current page without saving a scale cookie. You can delete a recipe’s cookie using “Remove this recipe’s cookie” on its page. “Stop saving scales for all recipes” prevents recipe cookies from being used or written and deletes the cookie for the current recipe; cookies for other recipes are deleted when you visit those recipes again. You can also clear them in your browser settings.

The cookie is used only to remember this preference. It is not used to identify or track visitors. No other cookies are set by this website.

Similar technologies

Your site-wide choice to allow or decline saving recipe scales is stored in your browser’s local storage as recipe_scale_consent. It contains only allow or deny and has no automatic expiry. You can change this choice on a recipe page or clear it in your browser settings. No tracking pixels, fingerprinting, or other client-side tracking technologies are used. This website does not use Matomo or any other analytics script.
